Qualifications and Requirements of National Counterparts for High-Rise Building Projects Submitted to HPBC by Foreign Professional Design Engineers and Architects

Qualifications

1. Architect

  • Holder of Senior Licensed Architect (SLA) of Myanmar Architect Council.
  • Must have B.Arch and have practical experience in the high-rise and public buildings' significant architectural work at a professional level for a period of not less than 2 years.
  • Must submit his or her professional experiences to HPBC and appear for a personal interview to register as National Counterpart.
  • To follow the guidelines of HPBC concerning national counterparts and professional code of conduct.

2. Structural Engineer

  • Holder of professional engineer [PE-Civil (Structure)] of Myanmar Engineering Council.
  • Must be B.E (Civil) and have practical experience in structural design work at a professional level for a period of not less than 2 years.
  • Must submit his or her professional experience to HPBC and appear for personal interview to register as National Counterpart
  • To follow the guidelines of HPBC concerning national counterparts and professional code of conduct.

Remarks: Holder of M.E (Structure) who has P.E Civil (Structure) certificate can apply for National Counterpart.

3. Electrical, Electronic & HVAC Engineer

  • Holder of professional engineer [PE-Electrical (B.S), PE-Electronic (B.S) & PE-Mechanical (HVAC)] of Myanmar Engineering Council.
  • Must be B.E (Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical) and have practical experience in the electrical and mechanical design of external and internal work at professional level for a period of not less than 2 years.
  • Must submit his or her professional experience to HPBC and appear for a personal interview to register as a National Counterpart.
  • To follow the guidelines of HPBC concerning national counterparts and professional code of conduct.

Remarks: Holder of M.E (Electrical Power) who has P.E Electrical (B.S.) Certificate can apply for a national counterpart.

4. Water Supply and Sanitation Engineer and Mechanical Building Service Engineer

  • Holder of professional engineer [PE-Civil (Water Supply & Sanitation) / PE-Mechanical (B.S)] of Myanmar Engineering Council.
  • Must be B.E (Civil / Mechanical) and have practical experience in the design of external and internal water supply and sanitation works and Mechanical Building Services Works at a professional level for a period of not less than 2 years.
  • Must submit his or her professional experience to HPBC and appear for a personal interview to register as a National Counterpart.
  • To follow the Guidelines of HPBC concerning national counterparts and professional code of conduct.

Remarks: Attached – To be carried out in accordance with the specifications set out in Myanmar Engineering Council Notification No. (6/2019).

5. Geotechnical Engineer

  • Holder of professional engineer [PE-Civil (Geotechnical)] of Myanmar Engineering Council.
  • Must be a B.E. (Civil / Mining) and have practical experience in the geotechnical design work at a professional level for a period of not less than 2 years.
  • Must submit his or her professional experience to HPBC and appear for a personal interview to register as a National Counterpart.
  • To follow the guidelines of HPBC concerning national counterparts and professional code of conduct.
